In some markets, electric cars have already become a big thing. Given the electricity can be produced from renewable sources, the depletion issues never come into the picture. And, when it comes to electric motors, we can’t overlook Tesla Inc.

Ten years into the market, the Elon Musk-helmed brand has become the world’s best selling plug-in passenger car manufacturer in 2018. In the US, they have achieved 280 percent growth in the sales with 182400 vehicles delivered in the same year.

Last month, Tesla started rolling out version 10 of its in-car software with a few new features. Of all, Spotify support was the most craved for. Even though all the users in other markets were enjoying it, the US customers got it only with Software Version 10.0.

Of course, Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services. But, when it irritates you with glitches, you won’t mind switching to the native music app, right? Ever since the new update, Tesla car users have been experiencing multiple problems on Spotify that they have to use Slacker Radio often.

Ever since the most recent update, when they introduced Spotify to the display built-in, it doesn’t work properly.
Whenever I get into the car, go to the Music and start up Spotify, it shows the Menu… all good. But when I click “Songs” where it should show all my “Liked (Songs)”, it like never loads. I have to exit the Spotify Menu to something else, say TuneIn, go back to Spotify, click “Songs” and then it might (1) not load again or (2) load up all my songs right away. Surely you’d agree I shouldn’t have to normally go through that back and forth just to get my “Songs” to show up.
In the times where I didn’t give up and switch to using my iPhone X and play Spotify through there via Bluetooth, when I use Spotify to play from “Songs”, and click on the Shuffle icon to where it’s lit up, when the current songs ends, it STOPS and doesn’t continue to play other songs in that ‘playlist’ of “Songs”.
Have any of you experienced similar issues? So far, I haven’t seen any reported issues regarding Spotify on the display so I’m thinking this is a remote issue.
Thank you all!

We could find numerous concerns from the vexed users on Reddit. For some, the Spotify app fails to connect to the internet. Instead, it shows the spinning wheel. A restart or switching over to another app and returning shortly fixes the bug.

Another odd problem is the absence of audio. The customers could see the playback time, but no sound. Weirdness doesn’t end there. It also has troubles saving the albums. When you log out or reboot, you lose it forever not to be found.

Even Twitter isn’t devoid of the outcries from the annoyed customers. Many reported that the client on their cars hadn’t played the next track, but instead repeated the ended one over and over again. The company didn’t address any of the glitches until now.

Spotify isn’t a new app to Tesla, the US users are late to receive it. So, they already had enough time to release a bug-free version. Leaving the past aside, we hope they will release a fix soon. When that happens, we will update this story.
