So you just unwrapped an AmazonAlexa, Echo, or EchoDot—maybe someone who really gets you gifted one, or perhaps the holidays inspired you to treat yo’ self. Don’t start the new year with the smart speaker still sitting in its box. Setting it up to play classic, pop, and everything else is a done deal in three steps.
Amazon Echo Not Showing Up On Spotify App
What you’ll need: your new device, the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet, and your Spotify login info. Here’s how to connect Amazon Alexa to Spotify:
How to Play Spotify on Amazon Echo Step 1. Open the Amazon Alexa app on your phone. Tap on the Menu button in the top-left corner. Tap on 'Settings', in the 'Account' list, tap on 'Music & Media'. Tap on 'Spotify', then tap on 'Link account on Spotify.com'. Tap on 'Log in to. Step 1 Connect Amazon Echo device to Amazon Alexa app. You can download Amazon Alexa app from Apple Store or Google Play then register it to connect it to Amazon Echo speaker. Step 2 Link Spotify account to Amazon Alexa. Simply run Amazon Alexa app on your phone or tablet, then tap Setting link from the left side of the screen and tap the Music & Media section. Amazon Echo Dot won’t play more than 3 songs on spotify I’ve had this issue for a while but I’ve neglected it until now. When I connect my echo dot to Spotify (which is the main streaming service my dot is connected to) to play through a playlist, album etc. It will stop playing after 2 or 3 songs, just randomly. By default, your Amazon Echo is tapped into your Amazon Prime account and gives you access to both the music you’ve purchased through Amazon as well as the vast library of free Prime music. You can also link your Spotify or Pandora account and use that instead, as well as play music on multiple Echos at once. Just say something like. This Spotify TV app for the Amazon Firestick is brilliant and easy to use with the remote control, when finding your library of music and playing them. Good to have it on a big screen and sound quality is. The echo auto doesn’t stream anything. The Auto is just a fancy microphone for the Alexa app on your phone. If the Alexa app on your phone can’t do whatever you ask then it uses the app on your phone. Spotify is one of the things that uses its own app, along with the navigation apps.
Spotify On Amazon Echo Dot
- First, download the Amazon Alexa app from the Google Play or App store, and follow the prompts to set up your new Amazon Echo or Echo Dot.
- Once connected, go to “Settings,” select “Music,” click “Link New Service,” and then tap “Spotify” to input your Spotify username and password.
- Select “Default Services” to set Spotify as your default music service—et voilà.
Bonus hack: Once Alexa is up and running, you can even listen to another user’s Spotify account. Just ask Alexa to “Spotify Connect,” and the device will search for another one on the same Wi-Fi network. Stealing your holiday houseguests’ excellent playlists is encouraged.
